The SR4000 is a TOF (Time of Flight) camera. Time-of-flight is a 3D imaging technique that creates a depth map of a scene. It works by illuminating the scene, capturing the light reflected from objects, and measuring the round-trip time, the time-of-flight, which is proportional to the distance. In this way, each pixel provides a measurement of distance.
