Waste Assay Neutron Detection System (WANDS) is a compact and movable array of fast neutron detectors based on Helium-4 technology and Arktis's S670 detector. This system uses energy and time signatures from fission neutrons to assay waste drums and employs active interrogation with neutron pulses to detect fissile materials. It is designed to classify waste precisely, down to the boundary between Intermediate and Low-Level Waste categories.
