HIV drugs, also known as antiretroviral therapy (ART), work by preventing the virus from replicating in the body, allowing the immune system to recover and preventing further damage. They do this by targeting different stages of the HIV lifecycle, ultimately reducing the amount of virus in the blood to undetectable levels.
