This is used in the UK for large, solid waste items and has a nominal 3 cubic metre capacity. All 3 cubic metre boxes comply with the following standards: dimensions within a defined envelope, standardised lifting features, gross mass not exceeding 12,000 kg, a defined identifier format and location, physical containment provided by box body, lid and sealing system, standardised stacking characteristics and filtered venting where necessary.
