The Modular Adaptive Reach System (MARS) is capable of stabilising equipment in harsh environments where there is uneven terrain or limited access. It is a highly modular system which is completely tool free and can be customised to suit different work holding applications. Standardised interfaces throughout the design enable new adaptors to be produced.

MARS was designed for radiography teams inspecting pipes in nuclear decommissioning applications. The configuration shown can measure up to 450 diameter pipes and support a 28kg payload at 2m extension with adjustable elevation.
