Enzyme-Induced Calcite Mineralisation (EICP)

Overview
This is a bio-cementation technique used for filling and self-healing cracks in concrete structures and for erosion control where it is used to stabilize surface soil and dust control on low-volume roads. It uses plant- or lab-derived enzymes to precipitate calcium carbonate inside the soil or concrete matrices.
