Standing for the Ventilated Immersive Suit for Interactive & Operative Nuclear Simulations, this is a concept developed by the company MATISEC in collaboration with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). This extended reality (XR) suit integrates air-fed protection, internal/external sensors, motion capture, depth cameras, and the XDE physics engine to simulate high-risk nuclear operations (such as ITER Test Blanket Module (TBM) maintenance) while minimizing worker radiation exposure under ALARA principles.
