A flexible, washable touchscreen woven directly into a sweater sleeve using 54 smart fibers. Each 1mm fiber contains individually addressable LEDs and touch sensing, producing a 96×54-pixel display that can show photos, 8-bit color video at 30 fps and simple interfaces. Additional fibers add audio, motion, compass, temperature and light sensors. The textile remained functional after 50 machine washes and 1,000 bends.
