MSR-1

Overview
MSR-1 (Molten Salt Research Reactor) is a demonstration reactor and is designed to be the foundation of the company's path to commercial deployment. It is a liquid-fueled Molten Salt Reactor (MSR) with a designed power output of 1 MWth (Thermal). The fuel mixture is High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU, 19.5% enriched) dissolved in a FLiBe molten salt mixture (LiF-BeF₂-UF₄). FLiBe molten salt serves as the coolant, while graphite acts as the moderator. MSR-100 will be the commercial platform: A planned 100-MWe commercial deployment system engineered to provide around-the-clock baseload power, industrial heat, and water desalination.
