Overview
A 4th-generation small modular reactor (SMR) that combines high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTR) and sodium-cooled reactor technologies to decarbonize heavy industry. It aims to deliver 150 MW of thermal energy (or up to 50 MWe of electricity) and produces industrial heat up to 750°C and high-temperature steam around 650°C. It uses low-enriched TRISO (tristructural-isotropic) fuel for high safety and stability and relies on liquid sodium as a coolant with natural circulation (reducing the need for active pumps) and ambient air cooling suitable for arid or industrial climates. The target applications are for energy-intensive sectors like cement, alumina, chemicals (soda ash, ammonia), steelmaking, biofuel syngas, and low-carbon hydrogen production.
