An abrasive media system utilising a pressurised air lance, employing sponge media consisting of abrasive agents bonded to urethane foam. As the media strikes the contaminated surface, the foam compresses, revealing the abrasive. As it rebounds, the foam reshapes entrapping most of the removed contamination which reduces levels of airborne contamination. A collection vessel utilising sieves is used to sort media into reusable media or waste.
