Ultrasonic Decontamination

Catalogs:

Overview
Removal of contaminants from metal objects via immersion within a cleaning fluid which is then flooded with ultrasonic sound waves creating a scrubbing type action. This is often used in conjunction with other decontamination types such as the use of acid baths and can further be enhanced in some cases by other factors such as temperature. Technique is principally used to lift off coatings and oxide layers that build up on components such as pipe sections (loosely adhered).
