This REDOX process is applied in a manner similar to that used for the CAN-DECON process. The reactor coolant is first adjusted to neutral pH and a low dissolved-oxygen level is then brought to a temperature of 80-90C. The chemical decontamination solution is then injected, and a sidestream of circulation coolant is passed through filter and cation exchange resin columns to regenerate the solution on line.
