Oxalate Peroxide (OPP)

Catalogs:

Overview
An oxidizing agent consisting of a mixture of oxalic acid and hydrogen peroxide. It is used for the simultaneous dissolution of UO2 and the defilming and decontamination of metals. The oxalic acid decontaminates the surface, and the hydrogen peroxide enhances the decontamination and passivates the steel by its oxidative action. However, the peroxide destroys the oxalic acid, preventing reuse of the solvent.
