An explosives sandwich: plates or tiles filled with special explosives that are attached to the outside of tanks. With their counter-explosion, they are intended to prevent armor from penetrating even with special bullets.

One of the leading companies for reactive armor is Dynamit Nobel Defense (DND) from Burbach in North Rhine-Westphalia. According to WELT research, the armaments company has just received a major order from the Bundeswehr procurement office for reactive protection modules for 142 new Puma infantry fighting vehicles. The explosive shell is a prime example of the competition between attack and protection.
