The Lomond system is a compact low-power, articulated gamma spectrometer, for remote deployment and internal characterisation of complex nuclear industry pipe networks down to 2’ diameter. The system has been successfully demonstrated in the laboratory to exceed the performance of sodium iodide technologies with a 5x reduction in mass and dimensions and over 30x reduction in operating voltage. The system can manoeuvre through 90 degree swept bends and T-junctions.
