Joule Heating In Container Vitrification (JHICV) is a system where the melter is a standalone container, used once but heated using resistive heating.  Steel containers lined with refractory material are used to which waste is added and the melt created by lowering electrodes into the container.  Once the melt has completed, the whole container is removed for cooling and a new fresh container used.  It is therefore a batch process:  melt one package, move away to cool and then melt another and so on.  Veolia market this technology as “Geomelt” and the acronym JHICV is trademarked.
