Microencapsulation

Overview

Microencapsulation is the encapsulation of waste within a solid matrix.  The waste is intimately mixed with the matrix rather than the waste being “over packed” with grout (macro-encapsulation).  The matrix is usually cement-based but it can be bitumen, polymer or a combination of materials.
