This "Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP)" generates ozone in the gazeous phase and hydroxyl radicals in the aqueous phase with a reactor using a single bichromatic UV lamp. This can mineralize chlorinated compounds like TCE/PCE (TriChloroEthylene/PerChloroEthylene) mixtures as well as small carboxylic acids like acetic acid and formic acid.
