High-Pressure Slurry Ablation (HPSA)

Overview
High-Pressure Slurry Ablation (HPSA) is a size reduction/liberation technology with both mining and reclamation applications. In HPSA, particle breakage is achieved through intense particle-to-particle and particle-to-plate collisions by way of a high-pressure pumps moving slurry through a set of nozzles. Disa's HPSA process is unique in that it efficiently disassociates composite materials into the material’s discrete subfractions. By disassociating composite materials into that material’s discrete subfractions, HPSA makes individual subfractions amenable to mechanical isolation.
