A treatment system for nitrates and uranium in groundwater. It uses solar-powered pumps to feed water to underground treatment cells, which are configured to biologically remove nitrate and to remove uranium using ZVI media. Because it is a mixed contaminant plume, it requires phased treatment and so it needs treating the contaminants with different methods and media and in the right sequence.
