The PARCOVAL (PAlladium Recovery for CO2 VALorisation) project is an EU-funded initiative launched in September 2024 and running until August 2028. It aims to achieve European strategic autonomy and combat climate change by extracting radioactive palladium from vitrified nuclear waste and reusing it as an industrial catalyst to convert biogenic CO₂ into value-added chemicals.
